Meet Roman!
Adoption Fee: $150
The "Fast & Furious Litter" was born in a loving CARE foster home after their mom, Dixie (Beagle), was rescued on the side of the road. No microchip or tags, no owner came forward and she was pregnant. Now Dixie and her 6 puppies are up for adoption. All will complete basic vet care through us and has already started. Dixie is 18 lbs. We don't know who the dad is, but so far, it looks like the puppies are going to stay small to medium.
Roman has been dewormed, microchipped, started heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and was vaccinated for distemper/parvo (DHPP) twice now. He will receive 2 more boosters, plus his rabies vaccine at the time of neuter at 16 weeks of age.
Adopter must be willing to drive back to CARE in Lexington, SC for the 3rd DHPP and the neuter/rabies appointments. The neuter will be an overnight stay. These appointments are required on these dates and cannot be altered (or the vaccines will not protect them as well). The neuter & rabies vaccine appointment cannot be rescheduled, so please take into consideration when applying to adopt.
Roman's Appointment Dates: 3rd DHPP - between 2/4 and 2/11 - no exceptions 4th DHPP, rabies vaccine and neuter - 3/5/24 - no exceptions
A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
