Yale is waiting to fill the empty space in your lap and smother you in loveable Boston Terrier kisses! His little nub wags a mile a minute when he's getting loved on. He loves to cuddle up with you in your lap or beside you on the couch or bed.

Yale is a little wary of men at first but is easily convinced of their friendliness if sweet talked. He wasn't sure of his foster dad in the beginning but now curls up with him for afternoon naps. He gets along with all the dogs in his foster home both big and small. Yale is not cat-friendly, though. He is cratetrained and sleeps through the night in his in foster care, but he really wants to be curled up next to you in the bed under the covers! He has the Boston snore, but it's not that bad for his breed. The vet checked him out during his neuter, and he said surgery was not necessary. Often, the "smoosh-faced" breeds need surgery on their throats to help them breathe better, but Yale didn't need it.

Yale came to us after being hit by a car and left for dead. He will make a full recovery other than a permanent limp on his left front leg where the elbow was broken and began to heal on its own. Quality food and joint supplements will keep him in tip-top shape.

All dogs receive a rabies vaccine, distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. If old enough, dogs are tested for Heartworms and treated by CARE if positive. A completed adoption application and home visit are required to adopt a dog. We do adopt out of state. The most complete information about available dogs, including their current age and adoption fee, can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org.
