Rosie is a lovely little lady who doesn't skip a beat! She makes a great dance partner and dances with her foster mom every afternoon. Her very favorite thing when she's not dancing is having her chest scratched, so she's frequently on her back next to you on the couch.

Rosie is a sweetheart who is very loving. She loves to play and lay in your lap or arms. She greets you when you get home with kisses and a wagging tail!

Rosie attaches quickly to the lady of the house and takes a long time to warm up to men and strangers. Her ideal home is a relatively stable, low-key household with no kids and no plans to have kids, She is the perfect lap companion for a retiree. Rosie does great with cats and some dogs. She would prefer not to have to share her person's lap with anyone, though. Rosie does warm up to the man of the house eventually, if he is patient with her. She nips from behind when they are walking away until she fully trusts them. CARE's professional dog trainer will assist Rosie's adopter(s) during the adjustment period. Rosie is so sweet and loving, she is worth waiting for her to come around! She attaches instantly to the lady of the house, so no adjustment needed in that case. Rosie is house trained and crate trained.

All dogs receive a rabies vaccine, distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. If old enough, dogs are tested for Heartworms and treated by CARE if positive. A completed adoption application and home visit are required to adopt a dog. We do adopt out of state. The most complete information about available dogs, including their current age and adoption fee, can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org.
