Tabitha takes a moment to warm up, but once she does she is so funny to be around. She get so happy to see you that she smiles, talks and wiggles all around. Tabitha loves to cuddle, be held and play. She gets along great with her foster siblings (dogs).
Tabitha is house trained, crate trained and leash trained.
NOTE: Tabitha has either a birth defect or old injury to her bottom jaw (only see this if you look inside her mouth). Her jaw was evaluated by a general vet and specialist. Nobody could say if it will cause problems down the road or if surgery would be possible/successful.
In the end, we simply don't have $5,200-6,000 for a surgery that may not be necessary or yield a positive effect. From working in vet med ourselves, our gut says - she's eating fine, isn't in pain and enjoys life as it is. We don't want to risk that.
A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
