Rooney's breed(s) are currently a mystery, but it sure can be fun guessing! People are convinced he's one of many different brindle breeds, but truth be told - he could be mixes of several breeds. We only get 2 breed choices on his profile. Without a quality DNA test, no real way to know, but odds are high that a bully breed could be in the mix.

Regardless of his breed, Rooney is a wonderful puppy. He's loving, smart, energetic and eager to belong. He's finishing up treatment for leg inflammation from being bumped by a car (hit and run!!), plus antibiotics for a small infection in his foot.

On 8/12 Rooney will be neutered and vaccinated for rabies. He has already received a distemper/parvo vaccine, bordetella vaccine, microchip, dewormers, Capstar, Simparico Trio, heartworm test (negative), had a vet exam, x-ray, was treated for earmites and tick borne diseases (just in case, since he was outside and had a few ticks).

If you google images for any of the following breeds as puppies, you will see puppies who look very close to Rooney. When most DNA tests come back for rescued pups, they generally are mixes of 4-6 breeds.
