Stripes was found by a good Samaritan as a small kitten. He was underweight and in need of veterinary attention. His momma cat belonged to a neighbor who left her and her litter to all fend for themselves. This has not impacted his great personality as a companion.  He is a handsome and confident fellow who is happiest with scratches on the head and neck but prefers not to be petted down the back, be carried or held, and only seldom sits on a lap.  He does travel well, and plays well with others.

Stripes is a very good teacher and playmate to other kittens in his foster home. Very much enjoys the company of other cats/animals.  He has excellent litter box manners and does not mark. He is very good with dogs, especially if they need some training about how cats like to be treated, and nice to the bunnies too. Stripes tolerates the 2 young children in his foster home, but he gets worried if they are too wiggly and try to carry him.   Older children would suit him better.

Favorite places and spacesto sleep is on top level of the cat tree, in the recliner when no one is in it and on a fully screened in porch. We must be watchful when coming in and out as he tries to make a run for the front yard when he can, and will try going out at a full run-he's quiiiiiick!  Mice beware :)  He's in great health, is confident and has much to offer a loving family!
